Epilogue
Well my negative scanner finally arrived so here are my final shots taken in Tanegashima.. I’ll be back some day!
I am now back in England and am available for commission. Also, prints of my work are available to buy. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you like what you see.

Love these photos. I especially like the background bokeh (out of focus areas) and small depth of field, I guess you use medium format cameras. I am interested in getting into medium format as well and was wondering what camera brands you would recommend. I like 6×7 format and have considered Pentax, Mamiya among others. I want good quality lenses aw well.
God Bless!
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the kind words! If you like 6×7, there are some great cameras out there. I use the Mamiya Universal Press which is great as you can change the backs, enabling you to shoot 6×9 and instant film as well. The 100mm f/2.8 is fantastic.
Another great camera is the Pentax 67, a gigantic SLR which looks a lot like the Norita 66. And if you want to spend a bit more, there is the dreamy Pentax 67ii with an inbuilt light meter. Oh, and both these cameras can take the bokehtastic 105mm f/2.4! Good luck!
Excellent site, keep up the good work
I like your WordPress blog! I started one recently, and I am still learning how to make it photo-gallery friendly. Yours is certainly an inspiration!
PS A note about the choice of the medium format camera. Almost any good one will be wonderful, but NOT any scanner will do justice, unfortunately. I speak for having an Epson 4990 that is making my film days very tiring. Unfortunately, albeit several good film cameras may be unexpensive nowadays, good film scanners are not!
